Mid-flight UFO, Cali

My husband and I ventured to Lake Tahoe this last summer for a getaway. Embarking from San Diego we hit a pit stop in Reno, Nevada. That would be our return flight as well.

The week was peaceful. We spent a day hiking down the trail to the castle of Emerald bay and lounging in the sunshine. We spent an evening watching some world famous stand up comedy at Harvey’s, Lake Tahoe. Some food was the best I’ve had. If ever in town visit “The Loft” in Lake Tahoe. Amazing everything. The bruschetta was delicate and delectable.

So we go, we see, my husband does some classes, we gamble, we buy, we eat, we laugh, we “lounge”, we travel…then it’s time to leave.

We arrive at the airport and get checked in and then hit the runway, like we do. Birdseye view out of my window I see a U.S. Air Force plane in line in front of ours for take off. Pretty cool. We are taking flight out of Reno and I know there are Air Force bases nearby.

So we take off immediately following the U.S. Air Force plane and we are cruising for about 30 mins or so. I have a window seat, so I am looking out at the Pacific Ocean. I notice something strange come into my vision.

You know how there are a few different types of aircraft we see on a daily basis and then when something just doesn’t fit the mold? That was this.

My first thought was that we were at a very high altitude for our flight and this craft was significantly above us. My second thought was that it’s movements were unusual. It sat there still for a couple minutes while I stared at it trying to determine what I was seeing. I was waiting for it to drift across the skyline like a plane would as it flew by, but it didn’t. It barely moved the entire time my eyes were on it.

So then I turn to my husband (should have just started recording with my phone) and said “hey check this crazy $&@! out.” He looks and doesn’t see anything for a minute and then he does.

We talk bewildered about what it could be for about a minute. Our takeaways: It was at a higher altitude than us and we were at cruising altitude, it doesn’t seem like a normal plane flight coming from that direction straight over the pacific in the middle of nowhere (they have standard flight paths) , it was hovering in the clouds, and it was metallic. Then the crazy part.

I said “get your phone out let’s record it.” We both glance away for a few seconds trying to retrieve the phone for video and when we looked up, it had vanished into thin air. It was a clear day with no clouds around this craft. Had it been something we were used to seeing there is no way it could have moved that quickly out of view. I continued to search for honestly the remainder of the flight but, crickets.

There is no way that a plane or helicopter could have disappeared in a matter of seconds. It was present for almost 5 minutes and then suddenly vanished the second we said we wanted to record it.

I think I believe in telepathy and I think others have it and we just don’t yet. I also find it very odd that an Air Force plane was taking off probably headed in a similar direction, right before we did. Tracking something…or maybe checking up on some new machinery we aren’t aware of publicly.

Whatever it was I know that it disappeared within 5 seconds and we never saw it again.
