San Diego Randonauting

So I ventured off onto my first randonauting experience this evening. It did not disappoint, and if you haven’t done it, I encourage you to explore areas around you that you might not be too familiar with. I have lived in San Diego my entire life, but am 💯 I haven’t visited most of its locations.

We began our path towards Bonita, from Steele Canyon, destination unknown. We had done a few different locations but some were houses and I didn’t feel like trespassing or having the cops called. So onward. 20 minutes later we arrive at a business park, what originally looks like a dental office specifically.  After wandering outside for a few minutes we decide to take a tour around the building. I have a ghost voice app that gives words heard, so I turn that on. We get a few (Brianna, club, get out, sift, disturb, brave) it is interesting, but not woah. If I did not mention, the building is not strictly dental but all medical, plastic surgery, other under the knife surgeries, it seemed like a surgery center. We then go outside.

I am drawn to an area behind the building. After looking at the map of where we were headed before we got there, I envisioned it the same way. A break between two buildings with some pass going through. We walk behind the building, all the while my ghost app is on, and we notice a drainage ditch/pipe with lots of foliage. Chaparral. My phone says these words as we approach and wander: (karen, smell it, solid, break, insects itching, water, always, known, Sandra, Cameron, Nicole, Kyra, Olivia, last.) For me, I felt like someone was describing the place where victims lie, and then naming them and ending with last. I will attach pics so you can see what it looked like; but it was a drainage ditch with constant running water and heavy foliage surrounding. I notice a large amount of the brush is too thick to walk through, but want to explore it. I feel like that’s where the answers lie.

After this we then head off to the San Diego wildlife sanctuary, off proctor valley road. I did a few different Randonauts and 4 of them led me to this location. If you don’t know proctor valley road it is supposedly one of the most weird , haunted places in San Diego. I have lived in this 15 mile radius my entire life but never really ventured out there much “at night.”  Its creepy Af and the roads are meant for nobody besides a trekker or you might break down in darkness.

There have been reports of aliens, weird creatures, and people going missing. It is getting really dark now and both of our phones have less than 5% battery. I think back to the unopened package of pepper spray in my bedside table. Not like that would do anything with ghosts/aliens. We tail a few bikers (bicyclers) heading off into the random hills on our way to the location and capture another image, in our attempt to find the gps spot. It looks like two random shadows standing on the side of the road, except it’s a 0 second video.  I had to screenshot it to get an image bc when I tried editing it the shadows vanished.

Interesting night I’d say. And I still haven’t had dinner.
