It makes me so sick to see the rest of the world return to somewhat normalcy while children and parents are suffering. School was supposed to start August 18 for us, we have been online until today. For 3 hour morning sessions which my child needs obvious care for and some assistance. NOT FREE. Today we actually got to enter campus! But only for 3 hours to ease the kinder transition , you mean so you can still make the same amount of money ?? BS.
The rest of the year until Christmas break will look like this, pending any shutdowns from prick newsom and his shedevil cohort pelvis. I mean pelvis. I mean owlish. I mean pelosi. Hey these are just autocorrects..
My son is in kindergarten and will be attending physical school only Tuesday and Thursday from 9-12. Apparently it is supposed to extend until 2:30 October 9, but I doubt it. Then on Monday we have a fun 3 hour Online zoom session. The other two days I am supposed to check my child in “for attendance purposes” because this is how public schools receive funding. This is apparently about 10 mins and then I am on my own as my own independent contractor, private teacher! Thank god we can afford for me to do that otherwise SOMEONE would have to quit their job, to supervise a child that should be in school.
THIS is happening and people are going to lose their homes/businesses from it, watch. A lot of people will either have to leave the workforce or pay for care for their child.
This is not okay for business to resume but not school. We are stomping on our future generation, much like the boomers did and are still doing to millennials. But that’s a novel for a different day..
The answer is privately funding each family with a school age child so they can choose the best option for schooling. We pay taxes that go to public schools but they get lost in the mix. Doing this would solve everything. It would hold all schools accountable for finances, make them competitive and essentially better quality, teacher union mob bosses that have been the main culprit would be destroyed, and children/parents would have more flexibility in choosing the best option. It’s a no brainer and I really hope it happens.
P.s. this is all happening bc of the Democratic party, their lack of regard for human beings; their happiness, and their general hate for trump. Don’t hate, follow the evidence. I once hated trump too but he is simply the best option at this point in time. Liars and manipulative people bring me so much disdain, and that is exactly what you are getting with the Democratic Party/media. All the way back to the mid 1850’s, New York, Central Park….
