Water dreams

Hey 👋 I’m Janelle. So I’ve always had somewhat vivid dreams. They come and go as feverishly as they have made themselves present. It’s always a whirlwind, and then silence. I was thinking about the ties I’ve had to the dreams I’ve remembered and well, they all seem to include water.

I live in San Diego and we have this area called mission valley. It’s used to be used as a natural waterway, before dams, it’s a natural river, where the San Diego river still lives, but at limited capacity. There are reasons we have places called “mission gorge” around this. Anyways my dream, 1 of about 5 water dreams I’ve had in the past five years, takes place in balboa park.

I awake standing there at the peak, a top presidio park. The disaster was already happening when I woke, hills everywhere crumbling, the giant ocean taking everything. It was short lived and I didn’t have an outcome, thinking that’s a bad sign. The other water dreams involving similar things have been this: (FYI I don’t remember most of my dreams)

1)being in a vacation spot, narrow bay with mountains not too tall on each side, that’s how we ran and escaped the tsunami.

2) Weird water slide dreams of the 15 overpass in San Diego where things went wrong.

3) 4 years ago at PB with my late dog Tahoe. She was running from an impending tsunami. I ran into the Ralph’s parking lot which I am familiar with.

4) Random clips of people boogie boarding down 8 west in sd.

5) Going to a beach with epic waves only to be trapped.

That’s all I can remember for now. Peace ✌️.
